Analisis Hubungan Riwayat Konsumsi Kopi Terhadap Gangguan Tidur Pada Pegawai Kantor
Sari
ABSTRACT
Caffeine, commonly found in coffee, is widely consumed by working adults to maintain alertness. However, excessive intake may interfere with sleep regulation. This study aimed to analyze the relationship between coffee consumption history including frequency and daily caffeine dose and sleep disturbances among office employees. This research used a quantitative correlational design involving 150 office workers in City X. Data were collected using validated questionnaires and analyzed with Spearman correlation tests. There was a significant negative correlation between coffee consumption frequency and sleep onset (ρ = -0.482; p < 0.001), daily caffeine intake and sleep quality (ρ = -0.524; p < 0.001), as well as a combined effect of frequency and dose on overall sleep disturbance (ρ = -0.496; p < 0.001). Coffee consumption is a notable factor influencing sleep among office workers. Both how often and how much coffee is consumed impact sleep onset and quality, making this behavior a relevant aspect in workplace health management.
