ABSTRAK

 

Kesehatan gigi dan mulut merupakan hal yang sangat penting karena buruknya kebersihan gigi dan mulut berhubungan dengan terjadinya resiko  penyakit lainnya seperti penyakit kardiovaskular. Anak usia sekolah merupakan golongan yang rentan mengalami masalah kesehatan pada gigi dan mulut. Selama pandemik COVID-19, terdapat berbagai hambatan dalam pemeriksaan rutin gigi anak, maupun dalam perawatannya. Tujuan kegiatan ini adalah dengan memberikan penyuluhan secara daring tentang pentingnya kebersihan gigi dan mulut serta cara menggosok gigi yang baik dan benar. Sehingga diharapkan dapat mengurangi resiko terjadinya kerusakan gigi pada anak, terutama selama pandemi COVID-19. Metode penyuluhan menggunakan presentasi power point dan menampilkan video cara menggosok gigi yang benar secara daring melalui aplikasi Google Meet dengan didampingi orangtua dan atau fasilitator proses demostrasi. Setelah dilakukan penyuluhan maka terdapat peningkatan pengetahuan anak-anak tentang cara menggosok gigi dengan baik dan benar.

 ABSTRACT

Oral health is very important because poor oral hygiene is associated with the risk of other diseases such as cardiovascular disease. School-age children are a group that is prone to experiencing oral health problems. During the COVID-19 pandemic, there were various obstacles in routine dental examinations for children, as well as in their treatment. The aim of this activity is to provide courageous education about the importance of oral hygiene and how to brush teeth properly and correctly. So, it can reduce tooth decay in children, especially during the COVID-19 pandemic. The method we used was powerpoint presentations and displayed the video on how to brush teeth correctly through the Google Meet application accompanied by parents and or facilitators offline when demonstrating. The children's knowledge about how to brush their teeth properly was increased after the counseling.
